DISTREE Events has officially announced its 2014 calendar, with six channel events planned around the world, including the debut of DISTREE Africa in June. Farouk Hemraj, Director and Co-Founder at DISTREE Events, said: “We are pleased to offer such a comprehensive programme of events for 2014, including the launch of DISTREE Africa. We can engage with manufacturers on a truly global basis and offer additional benefits to companies that participate in multiple events in 2014.”

“DISTREE Events offer a vastly superior experience to a traditional trade show or exhibition. Using a unique format - developed by DISTREE Events and deployed in fast-growing markets around the world - the events allow each delegate to pre-schedule a personal agenda of one-on-one meetings with channel partners based on their precise business needs,” Hemraj added.

Delegates attending DISTREE events have the opportunity to attend keynote speeches and panel discussions, participate in interactive workshop sessions, network with their peers and access the latest research on channel trends. Evening functions, new product showcases and channel awards offer participants the widest possible range of business benefits.

DISTREE EMEA, which takes place in Monaco in February 2014, is the largest independent event for the region’s volume channel, attracting more than 1000 senior executives. The event allows ICT & CE manufacturers to meet the most influential volume distributors operating in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, plus buyers from Europe’s leading retailers and e-tailers.

DISTREE Middle East celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2013, having firmly established itself as the premier annual event for retailers and e-tailers from across the region. Taking place in Abu Dhabi, the three-day event offers ICT and CE vendors and distributors a unique opportunity to reach out to the region’s senior retail executives in one place at one time.

The inaugural DISTREE Africa is scheduled to take place in June. Hemraj explained: “The decision to launch a dedicated DISTREE Africa is in response to high demand from vendors, looking to reach Africa’s fast-growing consumer markets for technology products. DISTREE Africa will bring together senior retail executives from across the continent, giving exhibitors an opportunity to map the channel landscape, meet key contacts and expand their African routes-to-market in a structured and cost-effective manner.”

Frederic Simard, Event Director for DISTREE Russia & CIS, stated: “The 11th annual DISTREE Russia & CIS will take place in St Petersburg. The event’s reputation continues to grow, attracting more and more vendors each year – from A-brands to start-ups. During the last decade we have built up extensive knowledge of the Russia & CIS channel landscape, allowing us to identify and invite the region’s most influential retailers and resellers to the event.”

Ashish Kapahi, Event Director for DISTREE APAC, commented: “DISTREE APAC made a successful debut in 2013 and we look forward to building on this strong foundation in 2014. We will return to Singapore in October 2014, bringing together the top ICT and CE retail channel executives from across the region spanning 20-plus countries from India to Australia.”

Tawfik Djafari, Event Director for DISTREE Brazil & Latin America, said: “Next year’s event will focus heavily on the Brazilian market, allowing vendors to identify channel growth and development opportunities throughout this vast country. Brazilian retail and e-tail channels are developing fast. Leading channel partners from other major markets in Latin America will also be invited to participate.”

“This event is an opportunity for A-brand vendors and major distributors to deepen their interaction with retail executives and for vendors that are new to the region to accelerate business development,” Djafari continued.
The growth of new product categories such as wearable technology and smart devices will form a major focus area at DISTREE events in 2014. Understanding changes to the vendor landscape, building effective multichannel sales strategies and identifying new retail opportunities will all form a core part of the conference programmes attached to each DISTREE event.

Hemraj concluded: “DISTREE Events offers manufacturers global channel solutions and business support every step of the way. From A-brand vendors looking to deepen channel relationships through to start-ups preparing to enter a new region, we provide a wide range of services and events that deliver tangible return on investment (ROI).”

“We are here to help vendors strengthen their channel credentials and open up new routes to market across the globe,” he added. “We can create a tailored participation package that uniquely caters to a vendor’s specific needs in terms of target markets, partner types and product categories.”
