Damit hatte niemand gerechnet: Die Absatzstreifen auf den Treppenstufen in der Elbphilharmonie sind nicht normgerecht. Der Grund: Während der zehnjährigen Bauzeit wurde die zugrundeliegende DIN-Norm geändert. Der Beuth Verlag und DIN machen die Prüfung, ob eine Norm aktuell ist, jetzt einfacher: Mit der kostenlosen App NORM2GO können Nutzer sekundenschnell feststellen, ob sie mit der richtigen Version einer DIN-Norm arbeiten. NORM2GO erleichtert den Umgang mit Normen im täglichen Geschäft und unterstützt so Anwender, technologische und sicherheitsrelevante Standards einzuhalten.

Schnell und verbindlich

Auf dem Deckblatt jeder Norm ab 2004 befindet sich ein Barcode, der sich mit der App scannen lässt. Im Anschluss erfährt der Anwender, ob die vorliegende Norm aktuell oder historisch ist – also durch eine neuere Ausgabe ersetzt wurde. Im Falle einer historischen Version zeigt die App an, welche neue DIN-Norm anzuwenden ist. Diese lässt sich bei Bedarf direkt im Web-Shop des Beuth Verlags erwerben. „Im täglichen Geschäft brauchen Normen-Anwender möglichst schnell verlässliche Informationen", erklärt Dr.- Ing. Mario Schacht, Geschäftsführer des Beuth Verlags. „Mit der App NORM2GO kommen wir dem Wunsch nach schnellen und schlanken Prozessen entgegen." NORM2GO ist in den App-Stores für Android und iOS kostenlos erhältlich.
