New Dimetis BOSS© LINK Manager To Launch at NAB 2008

Next Generation, SOA-based solution moves real time video over any network. Carriers and Broadcasters realize higher media-related revenues

(PresseBox) (Dietzenbach, )
Dimetis GmbH, an international software and hardware Systems Integrator, announced today the launching of its new Dimetis BOSS© LINK Manager software, on display in the Dimetis Booth (#C10919 in the Bavarian Pavilion) at the National Association of Broadcasters Convention- NAB 2008, April 14-17 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Dimetis BOSS© LINK Manager moves high bandwidth video and media, with QoS, in an on-demand fashion by unifying transmission link management across disjointed broadcast and telecom environments.

In contrast to today’s typical video service deployments that are manually provisioned and activated when crossing broadcast and telecom network boundaries, Dimetis BOSS© LINK Manager moves more real-time quality video and media and enables higher revenues and profits.

Dimetis BOSS© LINK Manager dynamically configures, schedules, monitors and controls video/audio and data connections across all types of contribution and distribution networks. Technology and protocol agnostic, it supports a wide range of features and functionality, including
point-to-point and multipoint connections for IP, HD/SD, ASI, T1/E1, and Ethernet environments. All network transmissions can be precisely configured, scheduled, bandwidth-managed and tracked, with automatic rerouting on path failures or conflicts. Next Generation OSS, SOA-based design ensures a seamless interface to existing OSS, Monitoring & Control, and/or Billing systems.

Concluded Willibald Striegl, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, “The ability to integrate software management across telecom and broadcast networks clearly sets Dimetis BOSS© LINK Manager apart when compared to legacy tools that operate in stand-alone “silos“, without end-to-end visiblity, control and video assurance. Dimetis BOSS LINK Manager makes it simple for carriers and broadcasters to efficiently transport higher revenue generating and quality-assured video services across dissimilar networks, equipment, and incompatible control systems.“
