For more than three years now Messe Frankfurt has been setting new standards in the industry with its video portal as a multimedia extension of its manufacturer and product portal, productpilot.com. Thus it has established moving picture content as a major factor in B2B communication. For this purpose a number of camera teams record reports, interviews and exhibitor and product presentations directly on the fair site. "Thanks to the widespread presence of high-speed Internet access points, it is now impossible to imagine the Internet without videos", explains Dr. Ulrich Thieme, director of Productpilot, referring also to a recent survey initiated by productpilot.com: 49 percent of those who took part underscored the prominent role of films, which were "a highly relevant medium for product and corporate company presentations".
"Anyone who presents himself on the Internet with attractive and informative film material, will stand out clearly from his competitors", Thieme states with conviction. But whereas the production of one's own video material requires appropriate budgets and therefore often is the privilege of global players, productpilot.tv also offers small and medium-sized companies an inexpensive opportunity to exploit the multimedia boom for themselves in a relevant environment. Every exhibitor can arrange to have a film of varying length produced during a trade fair and also may use it for his own purposes in addition to its showing on productpilot.tv.
Only a few days after the end of the fair, the films produced will be presented on productpilot.tv. Currently you can experience the highlights of Christmasworld and Ambiente 2010, Musikmesse 2010 will follow a few days after the fair. Alongside films of current trade fairs, visitors can also rummage through hundreds of contributions from other Frankfurt trade fairs.
