DEV Systemtechnik introduces a Web Interface for its optical transmission systems
Optical RF signal transmission: remote monitoring and control via Internet
All that is required is a computer and Internet browser. Once the user has entered the URL, user ID and password, he will be directed to the start page, where a faithful image of the device is displayed. The user is now not only able to monitor the signal transmission and operation mode of the device, but also able to configure and control it – no matter how remote the location. The inter-face further allows for the on-screen read-out of the RF signal level, the setting of amplification levels and to manually switch to redundancy mode, if one of the standard signal paths fails. All functions of the device can also be controlled manually. The well-designed and user-friendly web interface allows for easy access to all functions of the optical transmission system DEV 7000.
In addition to the convenient operation via the web interface, it is also possible to monitor and control the device via an external management system using SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol).
The products of the DEV 7000 series are designed for radio frequency signal transmission via optical fibres over distances of up to 60 kilometers. Thanks to the ultra-compact 3RU chassis, the optical signal transmission system can house up to 16 transmitter and receiver modules in 50 and/or 75 Ohm versions.
