DEV: L-Band distribution for HD signals - more efficient and reliable than ever !

Distribution amplifiers 1:8, 2x1:8 and 1:16 - top-notch solutions for your transmission needs!

(PresseBox) (Rosbach v.d.H., )
The new redundant L-Band distribution amplifiers DEV 2122, 2123 and 2125 from DEV Systemtechnik are designed to meet the requirements of head end and ground stations by providing superior signal quality and reliability for the distribution of HD (High Definition) signals. Unlike conventional systems, both the power supply unit and the amplifier modules of the DEV 212x series are designed redundantly. This marks a further step towards the provision of a ‘hassle-free’ package by the RF signal transmission expert.

The L-Band signal distribution products by DEV Systemtechnik set new standards in head end and
ground stations due to continuous product development and innovations. The newly developed L-Band distribution amplifiers DEV 2122 (1:8), DEV 2123 (2x1:8) and DEV 2125 (1:16) provide improved signal distribution reliability at a frequency response of less than ± 1 db. The return loss has been improved significantly. Thus, DEV takes account of the increased transmission quality requirements of HD signals.

The redundant design of the amplifier modules within the RF distribution amplifier provides superior reliability, because the RF Sensing Function ensures that the redundant amplifier immediately replaces the inoperative amplifier without any signal loss. At the same time, the signal is amplified, thus compensating the insertion loss. The amplifier modules are hot swappable thanks to the modular redundant design.

In addition, the DEV 212x series is equipped with a LNB power supply and a bias current monitoring function. They are available in both 50 and 75 ohm versions.

“The DEV 212x series is the ‘Rolls Royce’ among the L-Band distribution amplifiers. They are designed to meet the increasing demands of our customers in terms of reliability and transmission quality of HD signals”, explains the General Manager of DEV, Jörg Schmidt.
