Transparenz bei der Nationalen Maritimen Konferenz?

Der Deutsche Journalisten-Verband hat das Bundeswirtschaftsministerium dazu aufgerufen, die Entscheidung rückgängig zu machen, in diesem Jahr erstmals bei den Workshops der Nationalen Maritimen Konferenz keine Pressevertreter mehr zuzulassen.

DJV-Bundesvorsitzender Michael Konken kritisierte die Entscheidung als "einen fragwürdigen Einschnitt in die Pressefreiheit. Damit ist keine klare Transparenz mehr gegeben." Dass das Bundesministerium nun selbst über die Arbeit in den Workshops informieren wolle, sei keine akzeptable Begründung. "Es darf bezweifelt werden, ob so alle kritischen Anmerkungen und Fragen an die Öffentlichkeit gelangen."

Die Achte Maritime Konferenz findet am 8. und 9. April 2013 in Kiel statt.
