Die Otto-Gruppe steht vor einer Neuordnung des nationalen und internationalen Universalversands. Dies berichtet die Lebensmittel Zeitung (Deutscher Fachverlag, Frankfurt). Nach vom Konzern bestätigten LZ-Informationen hat die Gruppe ein Projekt aus der Taufe gehoben, in dessen Rahmen ein integriertes Geschäftsmodell für die drei Vertriebsmarken Otto, Schwab und Baur entwickelt werden soll. Die drei Marken, die allein in Deutschland im Geschäftsjahr 2011/2012 (29. Februar) für 3,3 Mrd. Euro Umsatz standen, sollen zwar erhalten bleiben.
