"Biologisierung" der Produktionsverfahren in der Industrie
Durch den Fortschritt in der Molekularbiologie sind inzwischen die vielfältigen Fähigkeiten von Mikroorganismen sowie deren große Anzahl unterschiedlicher Stoffwechselprodukte ins Blickfeld der Prozess- und Produktionstechnik gerückt. Sie erlauben es, manche Produkte weitaus effizienter als mit traditionellen, chemischen Verfahren herzustellen. Dies hat in den vergangenen Jahren zu einer von der Öffentlichkeit zumeist kaum wahrgenommenen "Biologisierung" der Produktionsverfahren in der Industrie geführt.
Im Rahmen des Forums und der Sonderpräsentation Industrielle Biotechnologie der diesjährigen BIOTECHNICA werden neue, konkrete Beispiele für den Einsatz biotechnologischer Verfahren in der Produktion präsentiert. Welche Verfahren werden künftig in industriellen Prozessen eingesetzt? Wie können hierbei Biowissenschaftler und Ingenieure in interdisziplinären Projektteams voneinander profitieren? Diskutiert werden sollen hierbei konkrete Anwendungsperspektiven. Im Fokus stehen Themen wie die (Weiter-)Entwicklung von Biokatalysatoren, die Prozessentwicklung und -optimierung sowie die Exploration mariner Ressourcen.
Vorträge am Mittwoch, 12. Oktober
Diesen und anderen Fragen wird in den Vorträgen am Mittwoch, 12.10.2011, in dem Forum in Halle 9 des Messegeländes nachgegangen. Hierbei werden auch erfolgreiche Beispiele aus den Netzwerken präsentiert, die in der Initiative "BioIndustrie 2021" vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) gefördert wurden.
