SOLIVIA CS – The new Generation of modular Central Inverters from Delta presented at the Renewable Energy Exhibition in France

The modular central inverter product line SOLIVIA CM will be further extended with new products covering a mid-size power range.

(PresseBox) (Teningen, )
From the 15th to the 18th of February the SOLIVIA CS models will be presented for the first time to the public at the Renewable Energy Exhibition in Lyon, France. The visitors are invited to learn more about the wide product range that are appealing due to their flexibility and versatile applications.

Three new models – the SOLIVIA CS 44, 55 and 66 – with a power output ranging between 44 and 66 kW complement the already established SOLIVIA CM product line. The inverters are suitable for all commonly used solar modules – also for thin-film and rear-side contact PV modules. The systems consist of 4 to 6 high-efficiency inverter racks, DC disconnectors, system controllers, and a robust cabinet. Delta adapts the systems according to the needs of the customer. The models will be available in the first quarter of 2011.

Compared to the commercially available central inverters, the SOLIVIA CM series are smaller and therefore more lightweight, so that they can be easily installed even in places with less utility space. Due to the modularity, there is reduced maintenance and total costs for the operator. If any inverter rack fails, a system availability of more than 90% is guaranteed. Highly efficient and reliable, with their intelligent MPP tracking, the SOLIVIA CS 44, CM 55 and CS 66 get maximum performance from the solar modules under all operating conditions. The inverters already start feeding power into the grid at low sun irradiation, so losses are minimized. One unit can be used in more than eight European countries (e.g. DE, FR, ES, IT, PT, GR, CZ, BE) and is easily configured via the display.

The central inverters are fitted with overvoltage protection, heat protection, short-circuit protection and overcurrent protection. Delta’s SOLIVIA CS series meet all guidelines regarding safety standards, EMC and national requirements. With the high frequency technology, the electrically isolated inverters achieve peak efficiencies up to 95.6 %. The SOLIVIA CS central inverters are equipped with protection class IP54, this renders it possible to install the inverters in protected outside areas, which means increasing comfort for the operators and decreasing costs. All inverters have an integrated monitoring system from Meteocontrol that allows you to monitor and to record all the different measurement values within a day, week, month or year. The menu navigation via the integrated touch-screen display makes the unit easy to operate. The operator can choose between 5 different languages (DE, GB, ES, FR, IT).
