Delta Electronics (TWSE: 2308), a global leader in power and thermal management solutions headquartered in Taiwan, will be supporting National Chiao Tung University’s (NCTU) team for the upcoming Solar Decathlon Europe 2014, an international academic architectural competition in Versailles, France, from June 28 to July 14, 2014.
One of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Taiwan, NCTU will present its Solar Decathlon-Orchid House, an ecological prototype house that incorporates Delta’s energy-efficient products and solutions for greener and smarter housing, with respect to the local conditions of Taiwan, and especially the high temperatures and extreme humidity.
By supporting NCTU in the implementation of this full-scale functional house, using the sun as the main power source, Delta helps improve education and research in the fields of sustainable architecture and solar energy.
