Dells neue Workstation Precision T3400 eignet sich insbesondere für CAD, Bild- und Videobearbeitung, geografische Informationssysteme, Finanzanwendungen und Software-Entwicklung. Dafür können Anwender sie mit den neuesten Technologien ausstatten, darunter:
- wahlweise Intel-Core-2-Duo- oder -Extreme-Prozessor mit der neuen Intel-Core-Mikro-Architektur inklusive Intel-X38-Chipset. Diese neue Technologie bietet einen schnelleren Front Side Bis von bis zu 1.333 MHz und deutlich mehr Leistung als herkömmliche Intel-Pentium-D- oder -Extreme-Edition-CPUs
- Einstiegs-2D- oder High-End-3D-Grafikkarten. Für aufwändige 3D-Anwendungen kommt die Dell Precision T3400 mit bis zu zwei NVIDIA-Quadro-FX-4600-Grafikkarten, die den Anschluss von bis zu vier externen Monitoren erlauben
- Umfangreiche Speicheroptionen. Die Precision T3400 unterstützt 800-MHz-schnellen ECC-Speicher mit bis zu 8 GB. Darüber hinaus lässt sich die Workstation mit bis zu vier SATA- oder SAS-Festplatten in den unterschiedlichsten RAID-Konfigurationen bestücken
