Hojoki's internet platform facilitates user collaboration across separate Softwareas- a-Service Applications (SaaS Apps) like Dropbox and Google Drive. Therefore, it solves the fragmentation of productivity environments and work flows by the increasing usage of SaaS Apps over the internet.
Hojoki makes users' life easier by building one interface to access everything that is going on in the connected SaaS Apps, enabling discussions around it and, therefore, bringing all productivity Apps together under one roof. CEO Martin Böhringer says that many people use multiple Apps like Dropbox, Google Drive, Evernote, Github and Basecamp at the same time in order to get their work done. People become overwhelmed by the fragmented nature of their work due to it being spread across so many tools and this is what Hojoki aims to resolve.
Hojoki has already crossed 50,000 users in its public beta and will launch a new version on November 29th. Until then, it was mostly used for its notification feature for the integrated 25 productivity Apps. "What we clearly learned is that it matters to a lot of people to know what their co-workers are doing across their Apps" says Böhringer. "With Hojoki they can now not only listen, but also engage back in commenting and discussing their work. The new Hojoki will be the home base for your team in the cloud."
"We see immense potential for Hojoki" adds Christian Stein from Creathor Venture. "Not only to become the central collaboration community for SaaS users on the internet, but also the central integrator of all Apps - in short: the glue that keeps users and Apps together in the brand new world of SaaS. In addition, while enterprises have to learn to live with SaaS Apps infiltrating their IT, Hojoki will have the opportunity to provide a unified integrator, as well as the central collaboration platform for employees. Of course, there is still a long way ahead, but we are sure that Hojoki's great team will develop a winning product and achieve a dominant position in this attractive market."
