Leadership change in the ContiTech Power Transmission Group: Rolf Sudmann is to take charge of the Automotive Aftermarket segment with effect from September 1, 2015. He will be succeeding Helmut Engel who is retiring after more than 44 years at Continental. Sudmann has 25 years’ experience in the automotive aftermarket. He was also Engel’s preferred candidate to take ove as the new Head of Segment. “For me it was important for my successor to know the industry and to have a sound network. With his decades of experience, Rolf Sudmann fully meets this criterion,” says Engel. Sudmann intends to continue focusing on staying close to customers: “My motto is ‘People make markets’ – that’s why it’s also beneficial that I’ve managed many customers in the past 25 years. Even if the products were different, the mission was always the same.”
