At bauma, ContiTech Fluid Technology is introducing the new segment with plenty of clout: Commercial & Industrial Vehicles (CIV). It consolidates the business unit's expertise for all media flows in the fields of commercial vehicles and industrial applications. This means customers all over the world can now purchase even more components from a single source. At bauma, the segment is presenting its SCR hose line systems with heatable quick connectors. SCR stands for selective catalytic reduction, the technology for removing nitrogen oxides from diesel exhaust gases. In a catalytic converters, a urea solution called AdBlue is used to convert noxious nitrogen oxides (Nox) into steam and nitrogen. The high-performance hoses developed by ContiTech specifically for the SCR procedure ensure that the solution does not freeze and is transported securely from the tank to the catalyst at any temperature. ContiTech is also exhibiting charge air hoses designed for all CV applications in the -50 to +250C temperature range and pressures of up to 3.5 bar. Highly flexible hydraulic hoses made of rubber are indispensable components for hydraulically powered excavators, loaders, cranes and dumper trucks as well as plant and equipment, forklift trucks and lifting platforms. ContiTech offers complete solutions to its customers in the form of complete sets comprising several lines of various nominal widths and pressure levels ranging from 150 bar low pressure to 420 bar maximum pressure.
