"Mit diesem Luftfedersystem sind wir am Puls der Zeit: Was ein OEM einführt oder wie in diesem Fall optimiert, das übernehmen wir auch zeitnah in unser Ersatzmarktprogramm", sagt Dirk Hoffmeister, Segmentleiter Nfz Ersatz bei ContiTech Air Spring Systems. Das Luftfedersystem hat eine einvulkanisierte Kunststoff-Konusplatte statt einer herkömmlichen Platte aus Stahl. Die Gewichtseinsparung bringt eine höhere Nutzlast für den Fuhrparkbetreiber und leistet einen Beitrag zur Verbrauchs- und CO2-Reduzierung. Zudem kann eine Konusplatte aus Kunststoff nicht korrodieren, was Kostenvorteile bei der Wartung schafft.
ContiTech ist seit 2004 in den VAE aktiv. Der Aftermarket im Großraum Afrika und Mittlerer Osten entwickelt sich rasch: "Die Automechanika Middle East ist die führende Veranstaltung für diesen Markt und gibt uns die Möglichkeit, unsere Kompetenz im Ersatzmarkt zu präsentieren", sagt Hoffmeister.
