ContiTech Showcases Heavy-Duty Timing Belts, Air Springs, and Solutions in Anti-Vibration Technology

PTC Asia 2014

- Timing belts made of polyurethane with carbon tensile members transmit extremely high outputs
- Bushings and absorbers with an integrated fluid system for optimal damping
- The durability and long service life of air actuators and air springs win users over

Innovative products for machine and automotive engineering - ContiTech is exhibiting drive belts, air springs, and solutions in anti-vibration technology at the PTC Asia 2014. The technology company from Hanover, Germany, is presenting in Shanghai from October 27 to 31 in hall E2, booth A1. "China is a key market for us and the driving force behind our growth in Asia," says Junsheng Liu, General Manager of ContiTech China. "As an innovative leader in rubber and plastic products, we want to present ourselves once again as a capable partner in the Chinese industry."

ContiTech products are geared accordingly to customer needs and demands. Timing belts are the central focus in the drive solutions area. The polyurethane heavy-duty timing belt CONTI® SYNCHROCHAIN CARBON enables the transmission of extremely high outputs. Because it barely stretches even with the heaviest loads, it is also resistant to wear and abrasion. It is an ideal alternative to chain drives because the belt largely requires no maintenance. The CONTI® SYNCHROFORCE also belongs to the high-performance segment. The timing belt transmits rotations at precise angles and at a constant belt speed - even under heavy dynamic load. This makes synchronous drives possible in the tightest of spaces and provides optimal conditions for creating economic drives of small construction volume and minimal weight.

Silicone-free timing belts for skid units and painting lines

Also on show at the PTC Asia 2014 are CONTI SYNCHROCOLOR® timing belts. These are specially developed for use in painting lines and skid units, and are free of silicones and substances that harm paint coating properties. These belts are suitable for use in tropical climates thanks to their material compounds, and are both ozone and oil-resistant. They can withstand temperatures from -20 to +100° Celsius and are especially quiet as well.

Vibration competence powerhouse

ContiTech offers a very wide range of bearing solutions that help isolate vibration and noise on machines and systems, from technical design to matching up individual system components. Rubber metal components and other anti-vibration solutions are part of the product range. At the PTC Asia, ContiTech Vibration Control will also showcase customized vibration-control innovations for construction machines. This includes products like bushings. They enable rotation and can also insulate against undesired vibrations. With an integrated fluid system, hydro bushings provide greater comfort in driver cabs than do classic variants. They can, for example, be used as engine and cab mounts in industrial vehicles. The hydraulic absorbers also have an integrated fluid system. Suspension spring characteristics and damping behavior can be separately optimized in the case of these elements.

Strong in pneumatics and vibration damping

ContiTech air springs and air actuators are used in various industrial applications. They exhibit unique product properties and long service life under demanding operating conditions in particular. Air actuators are used as pneumatic lifting and press cylinders for difficult tasks in machine and plant engineering. They are of major benefit in pneumatic systems whenever space for installation is tight and ambient conditions are especially adverse. Air spring systems are used to store heavy systems in such a way that vibrations are dampened.
