- 36 new bolt kits complement the service provision for the European automotive aftermarket
- Significant savings in time and effort for the workshop
- Bolts for the aftermarket are of OEM quality
When changing torsional vibration dampers (TVD) - if specified by the manufacturer - new fastening materials are also required at the same time. In the past this repeatedly resulted in workshops asking: Which fastening material goes with which belt pulley? The ContiTech Power Transmission Group provides the answer with its new fitting kits. For most torsional vibration damper from ContiTech's product portfolio for which new bolts are required, workshops in Europe can now quickly and conveniently order one of the 36 matched sets.
"This expansion of our provision enables our partners in the automotive aftermarket to save time and effort," says Product Manager René Borries. "Previously, the workshops had to put a lot of effort themselves into identifying and obtaining the correct bolts for fastening the belt pulleys." Often the only way to get hold of the right bolts was to contact the relevant vehicle manufacturer. "We are using our expertise as a specialist in power transmission systems to make these sets available to workshops - the outcome spares our customers a lot of research and further underlines our strategy as a full-line distributor in the power transmission sector," explains Borries.
"The mounting sets are perfectly matched to our products - twice over," says Borries. The bolts guarantee that the component can be fastened as specified and, like the torsional vibration dampers themselves, are of OEM quality. Borries emphasizes: "We have therefore implemented ContiTech's quality ethos right down to the smallest spare part."
