Materials that come into contact with drinking water must meet the strict requirements of the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) laid down in BS6920 in the UK. AQUAPAL®, the robust and highly flexible drinking water hose from ContiTech, has now been tested by WRAS and approved for transporting drinking water up to 85°C. AQUAPAL® has thus successfully passed all tests imposed on materials in the UK that come into contact with water for human consumption.
Along with other properties, the drinking water hose was tested for its microbial harmlessness. The quality hose, which combines compliance with the stringent requirements of the drinking water regulations and the advantages of a flexible rubber hose, has already passed all tests required by law in Germany - far ahead of all other drinking water hoses made of rubber. In addition, the AQUAPAL®meets the guidelines laid down by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the USA.
Unmistakable
Thanks to its blue jacket with the yellow wavy line the AQUAPAL® is unmistakable. Its UV and ozone-resistant as well as abrasion-proof and grease-resistant NBR jacket and the pressure carrier made of high-quality, synthetic yarns give it a long service life, even under harsh operating conditions. Made of transparent fluoroplastic, the inner lining of the highly flexible brand-name hose is homogeneous, smooth, and free from plasticizers. In addition, it is absolutely odor- and taste-neutral, which is indispensable for drinking water applications. The AQUAPAL®can also withstand temperatures from -20°C to +90°C. It can be steam cleaned up to 130°C, ensuring that it can be cleaned appropriately.
