IP67 D-SUB CONEC SlimCon Filter Connectors

ideally designed for industrial and harsh environments due to its small design and the one-piece zinc die-cast housing

(PresseBox) (Lippstadt, )
IP67 D-SUB CONEC SlimCon filters are the newest addition to the IP67 D-SUB filter connector family.

CONEC has integrated one low-pass filter per contact in the very compact CONEC SlimCon connectors as another function. The IP67 CONEC SlimCon filter connectors thus offer not only protection against ingress of liquids and foreign substances, but also protection against high-frequency conducted interference. The low-pass filter is realized by completely encapsulated capacitor elements, connected from each contact to the connector housing.

Due to increasing data transmission rates and operating frequencies, it is becoming increasingly important to ensure the function of electrical devices and systems as well as trouble-free operation. IP67 D-SUB CONEC SlimCon filters with integrated C filter and EMC sealing thus offer optimum filtering of conducted interference and ensure very good EMC protection.

The one-piece zinc die-cast housing makes the new CONEC SlimCon Filter D-SUB connectors an extremely robust interface with reliable EMC and IP67 protection. The panel cut-out for the CONEC SlimCon filter series corresponds to that of other standard D-SUB connectors.
This means that no new panel cut-outs are required and it is possible to convert standard IP20 systems to the IP67 system of the CONEC SlimCon Filter series.

Due to its design, the required mounting area is reduced by 48% to 52% compared to a standard IP67 protected filter
D-SUB connector.

The CONEC SlimCon filter connectors are designed for back panel mounting and are mechanically attached to the panel via 4 surfaces of the housing,
which always guarantee the same mounting pressure to the seal. The sealing to the housing is achieved by a conductive EMC gasket or optionally by a silicone gasket.

The IP67 CONEC SlimCon filter series is available in housing sizes 1 to 3, male and female. All versions have a 4-40 UNC threaded insert and are designed for back panel mounting.

The integrated filters will be offered with capacity values of 370 pF, 820 pF and 1200 pF.
Further capacity values and special customer applications can be created and offered on request.

Benefits:
• Small installation space
• Low weight
• A non-watertight interface can simply be replaced by
CONEC SlimCon filters and is therefore watertight and EMC protected
• Suitable for harsh environments

Fields of application:
• Drive technology
• Automation technology
• Housing and device connection
• Communication technology
• Medical
• Assembly and production lines
• Test and diagnostic equipment
• Control engineering
• Security and monitoring systems
• Transport industry
