Payment service provider Concardis is expanding its product portfolio with two functions which make entering the world of e-commerce even easier. With Payengine Paylink, companies can now send individual payment websites to their customers – without having to operate their own website or a classic online shop system. Payengine One Page Shop unites platform and payment in one online shop – perfect for start-ups, campaigns and voucher promotions. In doing so, Concardis is catering to the growing need of merchants, start-ups, operators of holiday flats, hotels and restaurants, public authorities and associations to process payments via the Internet without significant effort.

‘Consumers expect more and more to be able to pay without cash – anytime and anywhere. Merchants and service providers have to adapt to this expectation. Anyone who doesn’t fulfil this expectation and who doesn’t make the shopping experience as convenient as possible runs the risk of losing customers to the competition. Digitisation opens up new doors and creates completely new opportunities for retaining customers,’ says Christoph Jung, Vice President eCommerce Competence Center at Concardis.

Payment links rather than cash payment
Payengine Paylink was developed specially for companies that previously have only worked with cash payments or invoices: they can now send payment links to their customers via email, text message, WhatsApp or even social media channels. The customer is redirected to an individual online payment page via the link, where they can select their preferred payment method and make the payment. Following successful payment, both seller and customer receive email confirmation of the payment made. ‘With Payengine Paylink, merchants and service providers can avoid defaults and delayed payments. If necessary, they can receive the money even before delivery of the goods or rendering of the services – a perfect solution even for partial and down payments,’ notes Jung.

Online shop and payment from a single source
Payengine One Page Shop offers companies the opportunity to offer their goods and services in a compact online shop or via individual promotional pages. No special IT skills needed. Concardis offers both the platform as well as the payment system with all common payment methods from a single source. ‘With Payengine One Page Shop, merchants and service providers save potential additional costs for complicated shop systems, hosting and IT implementation. This makes it easier for them to enter the world of e-commerce. At the same time, Payengine One Page Shop offers a very practical solution for targeted marketing promotions, individual product campaigns or voucher promotions – a real added value even for established companies,’ says Jung.

Easy expansion of online business
One Page Shop and Paylink are special functions of Concardis Payengine, a complete solution for e-commerce. Using this solution, all common national and international payment methods can be integrated into online shops – flexibly and individually. Merchants who use Payengine One Page Shop or Paylink can, if needed, make use of the comprehensive service portfolio of the e-commerce platform and thus easily expand their online business.

The German trade association (Handelsverband Deutschland) predicts that more than 48.8 billion euros will be spent online this year. This means that compared to the previous year, German e-commerce will grow by 11percent – making up an estimated 50 percent of the total growth in the retail sector. At the same time, according to a recent study conducted by the KfW Group, only 16 percent of small and medium-sized enterprises make use of online sales channels. With Payengine Paylink and One Page Shop, Concardis now offers innovative solutions that make online payment and entering the world of e-commerce simple.
