New at the MEDICA Trade Show: Software Assisted Medicine (SAM)

CompuGroup Medical presents innovative IT health solutions

(PresseBox) (Koblenz, )
CompuGroup Medical will present the most recent IT innovations in the healthcare system at this year's MEDICA trade show, which will take place from November 17 until November 20, 2010. CompuGroup has an 800-square-foot booth in pavilion 15, where visitors can learn how medical service providers can work more efficiently in the future with intelligent IT support and have more time available to them at the end of the day, all with the utilization of software assisted medicine (SAM).

CompuGroup Medical (CGM) will be represented in a booth, together with its subsidiaries ALBIS, CGM Arztsysteme, MEDISTAR, Systema and TurboMed. In addition to many exciting innovations for hospital and doctor information systems, they will also introduce CGM's trend-setting G3 technology. The first module of the newly developed G3 product line, the web-based medication module, is already available on the market.

This year's focus is on software assisted medicine (SAM): the software product line makes customized, context-sensitive medical knowledge and relevant information available to the physician - at precisely the right time and place. In Germany alone, one out of two physicians trusts in the technology provided by CompuGroup Medical, and this vanguard already has 370,000 customers worldwide.

One of the highlights will be the guided virtual "SAM tours", which will demonstrate the synergy effects and the increased efficiency made possible by IT-linked communication in the healthcare system. With the help of live demos, the worldwide unique technology will be introduced in real sequences. The virtual tours will be presented three times daily in pavilion 15, B25 and will last approximately 30 minutes.

CompuGroup Medical will also play a role again in this year's prestigious lecture program: the panel discussion "Electronic patient file - milestone 2015" will start at 2:00 pm on November 17. Adrian Spalka, PhD, Corporate Head of IT Security, will talk about vita-X technology, one of the most reliable security architectures worldwide. During the panel discussion "The selective contract business model from the industry's standpoint" at 4:00 pm, Jens Finnern, PhD, Director for the Reimbursement Sector, will describe the current status quo.
