Der neue Standard für digitales Fernsehen und Datendienste ermöglicht mobilen Empfang auf tragbaren Geräten wie Handys und Taschencomputern. aacPlus ist das für DVB standardisierte Audioformat. Der Codec wurde von T-Systems in Kooperation mit Coding Technologies in das System integriert.
aacPlus ist der effizienteste Audio-Codec weltweit und sorgt für hohe Tonqualität selbst bei niedrigsten Übertragungsraten. Die hohe Effizienz des Codecs wurde bereits 2003 von der EBU (European Broadcasting Union) getestet*, wobei aacPlus als klarer Gewinner aus dem Test hervorgegangen ist und alle Konkurrenten auf die hinteren Plätze verwiesen hat. Der Codec sichert durch seine hohe Effizienz die Programmvielfalt bei bester Audioqualität und nimmt so eine Schlüsselposition für den Erfolg von DVB-H ein.

DVB-H wird auf dem Stand der Medienanstalt Berlin-Brandenburg in Halle 4.2, Stand-Nr. 119, sowie auf dem Stand von T-Systems, Halle 6.2a, Stand-Nr. 101 präsentiert.
