New Base-board for COM-Express Mini Modules

ePDAnano T10 – the extended temperature-range base-board for Mini CPU-Modules

(PresseBox) (Deggendorf, )
At this year’s „Embedded World“, system-solutions provider b-plus, Deggendorf, launches an innovative standard base-board for CPU-Modules compliant with the new COM-Express Mini standard. With a footprint of only 115 mm x 70 mm (4½ x 2¾ inches), the base-board ePDAnano T10 (Pin-out Type 10) provides all the important interfaces for automotive, electronic data transmission (telematics) or mobile applications.

The ePDAnano T10 is a base-board, specifically designed to meet the requirements of the small, credit-card sized COM-Express modules of the Mini type, previously known as COM-Express Ultra. Because of its features, this base-board is ideally suited for all applications demanding an extended-temperature range as well as for mobile applications.

The ePDAnano T10 does not only provide an extended-temperature range of -40° C to +85° C (-40° F to +185° F), but also specific connectors and additional mechanical joints for rugged, vibration-proof designs. It may even be used without forced cooling, thus reducing power requirements to an absolute minimum while extending battery life-span the same time.

In order to support efficient energy management, the base-board supports a number of power states. Its power supply has been designed to operate directly from standard vehicle power networks.

The base-board provides a wide variety of interfaces, including a slot for MINI-PCIexpress cards (full size) as well as slots for Micro-SD and SIM-cards. The built-in CAN interface, together with its wake/sleep-on CAN functionality, provides ideal connectivity – not only in an automotive environment, but also for telematics. Further interfaces like USB, Gigabit-LAN or a Graphic interface are a standard.

Being a certified Sales and Design Partner of Kontron, b-plus is able to provide suitable CPU-Modules and added-value services for the ePDAnano T10 base-board.
