To accelerate time to market and improve their customers’ productivity, LFoundry developed its PDK for the latest releases of the Cadence Virtuoso platform, IC 6.1.3, and Virtuoso Multi-Mode Simulation, MMSIM 7.1. The PDK contains a rich set of SKILL parameterized cell generators and supports advanced interactive and automation technologies such as design-rule-driven editing and the Virtuoso Space-based Router for custom chip, block and device-level routing. To ensure silicon-accurate analog designs and to maximize verification throughput, LFoundry supports the Virtuoso Accelerated Parallel Simulator for accurate analog block verification with multi-core technology, the Virtuoso UltraSim Simulator for FastSpice full-chip verification, and Virtuoso Spectre RF for fast and accurate RF analysis. To enable its customers achieve first-time silicon success, LFoundry deploys Cadence QRC for parasitic extraction and Cadence Assura® for physical verification and manufacturing sign-off.
“For the development of this state-of-art PDK, it was extremely important for us to support the most advanced technologies available on the market in order to help improve our customers’ productivity,” said Michael Lehnert, CEO of LFoundry. “We will continue to support Cadence’s tools for further enhancements of this PDK including RF and high voltage features to be released in the coming months.”
LFoundry announced last February, a monthly Multi Project Wafer (MPW) service to provide their customers low cost access to the market with special incentives to selected customers requesting participation on the MPW services through July 2009.
