Ein gutes Beispiel stellen hier die arabischen Länder dar. Ihr Interesse an europäischen Unternehmen, bevorzugt am deutschen Automarkt, scheint ungebrochen zu sein.
Katar, ein arabischer Staat am Persischen Golf, hat nun Interesse an Porsche geäußert. Verhandlungen und Gespräche laufen, laut Katars Ministerpräsidenten Scheich Hamas bin Jassem al-Thani sei es angeblich schon zu Treffen mit den entsprechenden Verhandlungspartnern gekommen. "Wir schauen uns das an, müssen aber noch eine endgültige Entscheidung treffen", so Scheich Hamad bin Jassem al-Thani weiter.
Der gebeutelte deutsche Automobilhersteller der beliebten Luxusfahrzeuge nahm zu diesen Äußerungen bislang noch keine Stellung. Allerdings wies Porsche strikt die Meldungen zurück, dass Konzernchef Wendelin Wiedeking und Finanzchef Holger Härter aus den Geschäften abgelöst werden sollen. Alle weiteren Spekulationen seien haltlos und nicht realistisch.
Porsches Verschuldungen belaufen sich momentan auf rund zehn Milliarden Euro. Seit Porsches Einstieg bei VW vor dreieinhalb Jahren wurden die Schulden mehr und mehr zu einer drückenden Last.
