Die 293 Meter lange Queen Elizabeth 2 war das Schiff der britischen Reederei Cunard. Nun verkaufte die Reederei ihren Riesenkreuzer für knapp 100 Millionen Euro an Nakheel, einen großen Hotel- und Immobilienkonzern in Dubai.
Nakheel will die Queen Elizabeth nun zu einem schwimmenden Luxusquartier für wohlhabende Gäste umbauen lassen. Rund 200 Zimmer, auch Suiten, in edler Ausstattung und einer Größe von 50 Quadratmetern sollen nun entstehen.
