Die Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate haben angeblich Interesse daran, zwei Druckwasserreaktoren der Firma Areva, deren Hauptsitz in Frankreich ist, zu erwerben.

Allerdings scheint bei dem Deal nicht alles reibungslos von Statten zu gehen. Der Preis, den die Franzosen den Arabern für den Kauf der Kernreaktoren gemacht haben, ist den Emiratis angeblich zu hoch. Die Verantwortlichen haben nun mit Preisverhandlungen begonnen, um den Deal doch noch realisieren zu können. Das Auftragsvolumen soll sich auf rund 27 Milliarden Euro belaufen.
