Bereits seit 10 Jahren prämiert die Initiative Mittelstand bundesweit die besten mittelstandsgeeigneten IT-Lösungen. Eine Jury aus einhundert Professoren, Wissenschaftlern, Branchenvertretern, IT-Experten und Fachjournalisten wählte auch dieses Jahr unter 4.900 nominierten aus Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz die innovativsten und praxisrelevantesten IT-Projekte, mit besonderem Augenmerk auf den Nutzen für mittelständische Unternehmen.
Die Skimpy®|Cloud von Christmann konnte die Fachjury restlos überzeugen. Die innovative, vorkonfigurierte und transportable "Cloud in a Box" holte den Preis für die beste IT-Lösung Niedersachsens, und dazu bundesweit den zweiten Platz in der Kategorie "GreenIT". Schon seit langem liegt der Fokus der Firma Christmann auf der Entwicklung besonders energieeffizienter Technologie; das Unternehmen gewann in der Vergangenheit bereits mehrere Preise für seine Leistungen auf diesem Gebiet, zuletzt den GreenIT Best Practice Award 2012.
Am 05.03.2013 fand nun die feierliche Preisverleihung des Innovationspreis-IT auf der CeBIT statt. Vertreter der Initiative Mittelstand unter der Leitung des Gründers Rainer Kölmel besuchten gemeinsam mit einem Film- und Fotografenteam den Stand der Firma Christmann in Halle 6 und überreichten Pokal, Urkunde und Siegersignet. Fabian Martin, der "Vater der Skimpy®|Cloud", nahm die Auszeichnung dankbar entgegen.
