CGM kommentiert zum tödlichen Angriff auf einen Achtjährigen im Frankfurter Hauptbahnhof:

„Kein Platz für Vorverurteilungen, rechter Hetze und opportunistischen Missbrauch in unserer Gewerkschaft“

Nicht akzeptables Verhalten von Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund und schwere Straftaten haben in den letzten Tagen und Wochen für öffentliche Empörung gesorgt.

Nach Auffassung von Adalbert Ewen, Bundesvorsitzender der Christlichen Gewerkschaft Metall (CGM), dürfen schlimme Einzelfälle nicht (wieder) den politischen Diskurs zum Aufenthalts- und Bleiberecht in diesem Lande bestimmen.

Adalbert Ewen, Bundesvorsitzender der Christlichen Gewerkschaft Metall, kommentiert:

Die CGM tritt strikt für das Rechtsstaatsprinzip des Grundgesetzes ein. Gesetz und Ordnung gelten für alle, für deutsche, für ausländische Mitbürger und die staatliche Gewalt, die über ihre Einhaltung wacht.

Unsere Gewerkschaft setzt sich aber besonders für die Menschenwürde des einzelnen Individuums ein. Das schließt Vorverurteilungen, rechte Hetze und opportunistischen Missbrauch gesellschaftlicher Vorkommnisse aus.“
