Volume of photos taken more than tripled
While consumers took an average of 150 photos per year with conventional cameras, digital camera users are taking an average of more than 470 photos nowadays. Owners of digital cameras are releasing the shutter more than three times as often as conventional amateur photographers in order to store as many memories as possible. The photos are generally viewed and selected with a home computer.
A personally-designed photo book is the best way to store memories
People have little time to select photos or to creatively design the pages of their photo album. Photos frequently end up in shoe boxes. The CeWe photo book has changed all of this. Nowadays CeWe Color is providing owners of digital cameras with various quick and easy methods of ordering a photo book of their last holiday or of the children's birthday parties. "Quick and Easy" is for amateur photographers who wish to place orders without the help of a computer. Consumers simply fill out an order form with details of the individual photo book they wish to order. Then all that needs to be done is to put the order slip and the memory card or home-burned CD ROM into a photo envelope and hand it in at a photo retail store. CeWe Color will take care of the rest. After three days an individually-designed photo book will be ready for collection at the photo retailer.
Ordering photo books is fun, is fast and is done automatically
CeWe Color has also developed a new method of storing for PC enthusiasts. Thanks to a full service comprising order software and a printing service, photo albums can now be designed with five clicks of a PC mouse. Simply load all of your photos onto a PC. Now use the CeWe Color order software to specify the format, the size and the number of photo book photos – that's all it takes. The automatic order assistant will detect snapshots which are out of focus and also those which are over-exposed, under-exposed or double. After only a few seconds the computer will suggest a creatively-designed photo book, with the page make-up giving an exact reflection of events and a page layout which has been adapted accordingly. Customers can make changes to the design if they wish (e.g. backgrounds, picture details and texts). The photo book can then be ordered online or from a photo retailer per CD ROM.
