Expansion of the service portfolio allows CETECOM to carry out ultra-wideband tests

Summary: After an expansion of our service portfolio, CETECOM is now accredited by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) and is therefore able to offer accredited ultra-wideband tests

Ultra wideband (UWB) is a broadband signal in the frequency range between 3.1 GHz and 10.6 GHz, as defined by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This is especially important for WLAN technology, since UWB provides a higher transmission speed than conventional 802.11 technology.

After an expansion of our service portfolio, CETECOM now offers accredited ultra-wideband tests and is accredited by the German Accreditation Service (DAkkS). The test portfolio covers diverse scopes:

ETSI EN 301 489-33 V2.2.0 (2017-03)

- Electromagnetic compatibility and Radio spectrum Matters (ERM); EMC standard for radio equipment and services; Part 33: Specific conditions for Ultra-Wideband (UWB) communications devices

- Short Range Devices (SRD) using Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Technology; Harmonised Standard covering the essential requirements of article 3.2 of the Directive 2014/53 / EU; Parts 1, 2, 3 and 4

In addition to the expansion of test capacities in the fields of Bluetooth, SAR and EMV for medical technology, the expansion of test services on the topic of ultra-wideband testing represents a further expansion of the test portfolio of CETECOM Germany and which makes CETECOM an ideal partner for the approval process for products with built-in radio technologies.
