Mobile communication based on a high level of data security is of prime importance for the implementation of new business models in the mobile business environment. "We will be presenting specific examples of use from different application segments at the Paris trade fair", explains Walter Zornek, CEO of certgate GmbH. "The solutions range from safe authentication of mobile devices through data and voice encryption to bank applications."
The aim is to achieve a particularly high performance level of the solutions and a flexible and scalable incorporation of business process with mobile communication. certgate's security solution based on special hardware and software is an easy to integrate module for partners and their development of secure applications for mobile use.
The smartcard in the form of a microSD card can be used under the most important mobile operating systems. To be able to integrate the card easily and quickly into applications requiring smartcard functionalities, certgate does not only provide the hardware components but also standard interfaces such as PKCS#11, CSP and PCSC. Developers can also order the certgate Development Kit that provides important support in configuring the interfaces.

CERTGATE WILL BE SHOWING
Example 1: Device and data security
SiMKo 2, also known as "Merkelphone", is viewed to be the world's most secure smartphone. The device based on certgate technology is marketed by T-Systems and protects the communication of German federal authorities and ministries, for example. The high-security solution based on hardware certificates reliably protects mobile stored data, data communication and device configuration from unauthorised access and any form of tampering.
Example 2: Highly secure voice encryption
Secfone Government is a ViOP-based voice encryption solution. The development of the certgate partner Navayo offers maximum security within a closed communication network. The certgate SmartCard microSD provides the secure key for communication and also serves as installation medium for the Secfone application.
Example 3: Mobile banking solution
Together with SIZ (Informatikzentrum der Sparkassen-Organisation GmbH), certgate has developed a mobile client for distributed electronic signatures in accordance with the EBICS standard. The solution can be used on several mobile platforms and facilitates the secure digital signing of bank transactions and the encrypted transmission of data to the bank server. The keys for this are stored tamper-proof on the certgate SmartCard microSD.
