CELUM Sitecore Connect is the new integration solution from the CELUM implementation partner comspace. It enables optimal connection of the Sitecore Experience Platform with CELUM Digital Asset Management. The strengths of both systems can be exploited optimally, and workload and site maintenance problems can be significantly reduced.
The standardized interface was officially presented by comspace as part of dmexco 2017 and is available immediately to interested customers on request. It will also be marketed as a stand-alone product via the CELUM Marketplace in the future. With CELUM Sitecore Connect, comspace and CELUM have presented their second CMS/DAM integration solution within a short period of time.
Benefits of connecting CELUM and Sitecore
Through the system integration of CELUM into Sitecore CMS, editors can access up-to-date and optimally prepared media files from CELUM for their website at any time. With the Media Library, also a media center is available in the Sitecore CMS for the management of digital website content, through which photos, videos and PDFs can be integrated in the website. CELUM DAM offers even better developed and more comprehensive possibilities for approval workflows, rights management, administration of copyright licenses as well as automatic metadata enrichment. Due to the seamless integration, users can continue to work in the familiar Sitecore environment.
Integration based on the Sitecore Data Exchange Framework and CELUM Connect
When using CELUM DAM, all available company assets are stored in the DAM system. The DAM is connected to the Sitecore CMS through the Sitecore Data Exchange Framework and the CELUM Sitecore Connect interface. The easy exchange of files from two or more systems and the synchronization of the stored media files happens on this basis. Once the Data Exchange Framework is installed in Sitecore, the administrator can integrate and configure CELUM DAM with a few parameters. For example, they can define which CELUM Collections or Folders the respective editors are allowed to access.
Easy process for asset import and synchronization
The CELUM Sitecore Connect interface opens an asset picker, which retrieves the media files selected by the editor from CELUM into the Sitecore backend and saves them in the Media Library. The editor can include the desired images on the website via an additional field for image selection, both in Sitecore Experience and in Content Editor. A regular, unidirectional and automated synchronization of the two systems ensures the media files on the website and in other output channels are up to date.
