WALTHER aims with High-Tech on Olympic medals

German manufacturer at the IWA Trade Fair

(PresseBox) (Arnsberg, )
How can high-tech become higher-tech? Already the target air rifle Walther LG400 is regarded as one of the most technically sophisticated and most successful match guns with compressed air. Now the manufacturer from Ulm/Germany has upgraded it to the LG400-E version - proven Walther technology with an electronically adjustable trigger:

The e-trigger ensures wear-free operation and exact trigger settings for many shots. This makes it an ideal rifle for ambitious sport shooters. The LED-indicator and the integrated rechargeable battery ensures the readiness to fire as well as easy and quick charging. Recognizable via the signature red trigger-blade the LG400-E is available with Alutec-Aluminum-stock or as "Anatomic" with a laminated stock. The new air rifle continues the line of electronic match guns that Walther has started with the Sport Pistol SSP-E - combining the advantages of an electronic trigger with proven and reliable mechanics.

The match air pistol Walther LP400-5D solves a long-term problem. So far, air pistol shooters only had the opportunity to use expensive custom-made after-market grips if their hand size did not fit the standard grips delivered with the pistol. With its "5th dimensional" grip adjustment the LP400-5D has an almost infinitely variable grip volume. The grip width is also asymmetrically adjustable. The hitherto been usual setting of the grip angle and the palm rest remain, and, in addition, the grip wears an antimicrobial coating.

These two new match guns and some more new products as well as accessories are presented from 6th to 9th March 2015 at the IWA Outdoor Classics Trade Fair. Already in the 41st year, the IWA is traditionally held in Nuremberg/Germany, showing the latest trends in civilian guns for sport, hunting, recreation and self-defense. At the brand-new booth the company Carl Walther expects customers from nearly 100 countries.

Carl Walther GmbH

Founded in 1886 in Zella-Mehlis, Thuringia, the Carl Walther company today is known for large-caliber pistols used by police and other law enforcement authorities. Additionally, it makes high-quality sporting weapons. In both of these areas it can look back on a tradition of excellent gunmaking going back more than 125 years. Legendary handguns bearing the famous WALTHER ribbon logo include the Walther PPK (favored by Agent 007 James Bond), the P.38/P1 pistol of the German army and the well-known P99 and PPQ, all of which have large fan communities throughout the world. In 1993 the company was acquired by the UMAREX Group, which is based in Arnsberg, Germany. Carl Walther manufactures most of its weapons in the factory which it established in 2005 in Ulm, and it has its headquarters together with its parent company Umarex in Arnsberg. An U.S. subsidiary, Walther Arms, was founded in Fort Smith, Arkansas, in 2013.
