camLine GmbH releases XperiDesk 5.3

Reaching new R&D efficiency levels

(PresseBox) (Petershausen, )
camLine is proud to release XperiDesk (XD) 5.3 that covers another year of customer driven developments. By adding several new efficiency tools and functions, the new release strengthens XD’s leading position in the market of Process Development Execution Systems (PDES). The highlights of XD 5.3 enhancements immediately respond to current demands in the field: The users get a new operator-oriented web-client for mobile devices. With version 5.3, it is possible to define and track rework flows. And last but not least, XD’s integratability into existing environments has been considerably expanded.

The new operator web-client provides a tool-centric view of all Work in Process (WIP). In this way, it substitutes the often still paper-based runcards. Accordingly, the users will be able to make documented last minute changes. Increasing the accuracy and timeliness of all operators’ data recordings, this will overall help the organization to gain agility and to make the right decisions in a shorter period of time. The capability for better and easier XD integration has been improved: Workspaces which are typically embossed by an MS Office environment, are supported more efficiently. The MS Excel import client has been extended to be able to import raw data in CSV format or other text file types. And further features were added: drag & drop documents into or from MS Outlook, export all types of entities into MS PowerPoint, print runcards into MS Excel or MS PowerPoint, and track experiments as seen from a tool-oriented perspective. Finally, it should be mentioned that XD 5.3 comes with various improvements with respect to performance and streamlining the user guidance. Throughout, camLine recommends the upgrade to XD 5.3 to existing customers.
