When the solar panels were first installed on the roof of the Busch UK building, the project was expected to save approximately 34 tons of CO2 emissions per year. However, collected data has shown that already in 2022, a total of 111 tons of CO2 have been saved.
The energy costs decreased as well since the amount of energy produced accounted for two-thirds of the total electricity demand of the company. The community also profited, as the excess electricity produced by the panels over weekends was fed into the public grid.
