Stable and secure jobs are jobs with a future. How safe these are depends to a large extent on the orientation of a company. The working atmosphere also plays an important role. Therefore, the German Institute for Management and Economic Research (IMWF – Institut für Management- und Wirtschaftsforschung GmbH) analyzed and evaluated sustainability, economic efficiency and the working climate in more than 6,000 German companies.
280 mechanical engineering companies were considered. Of the 64 that were honored in the study, Busch Vacuum Solutions ranked 12th with 89.0 out of a possible 100 points, while Pfeiffer Vacuum AG achieved 26th place with 73.6 points.

The study was commissioned by the German business magazine Focus Money with the help of what is known as “social listening.”* For the evaluation, more than 3.6 million online mentions and social media sources were examined and evaluated. The analysis looked for keywords related to the topics of “sustainability,” “economic efficiency,” and “working atmosphere” published from May 2022 to April 2023.
