Die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung in Deutschland hängt in entscheidendem Maße von den mittelständischen Unternehmen ab. Sie sind die Garanten für Aufschwung und Beschäftigung und bilden die Basis der deutschen Wirtschaft - gerade in wirtschaftlich schwierigen Zeiten. Die Förderung des Mittelstands besitzt somit eine essentielle Bedeutung.

Aus diesem Grunde rief die Initiative Mittelstand den INNOVATIONSPREIS-IT ins Leben. Der Preis verbindet fortschrittliche Ideen der IT-Branche mit besonderer Relevanz für den Mittelstand. 2009 hat das Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Technologie die Schirmherrschaft übernommen. Schirmherr ist Michael Glos, Bundesminister für Wirtschaft und Technologie.

Der Startschuss ist gefallen:
Die Bewerbungsfrist für den INNOVATIONSPREIS-IT läuft. Die Initiative Mittelstand sucht 2009 zum sechsten Mal die innovativsten IT-Lösungen für den Mittelstand.
