The Approval is given to Voith Engineering Services GmbH, Bremen and entitles the company to classify "minor" and "major" changes and repairs in CS-23/CS-25 aircrafts in the area of cabin interiors and associated structures and systems, electrical systems as well as secondary structures. Furthermore, Voith Engineering Services is entitled to approve minor changes to type design and minor repairs without direct EASA involvement. The Approval moreover includes the approval of documentary changes to the aircraft flight manual and supplements.
For Voith, this new design responsibility enables a closer collaboration with airlines. Furthermore, the Approval, of course, enlarges Voith's market potential especially in the area of cabin modification and the complete after sales market.
