BTD opens office in Rio de Janeiro - establishing BTD do Brasil Ltda.
Ahead of the upcoming developments, BTD have just completed the founding process of its South American subsidiary and have established its new office in the heart of Rio de Janeiro. The office is situated in the district of Botafogo, only a step away from the world famous sugarloaf. Lead by Bernd Ingerling and our Brazilian COO, BTD will setup a local team in Brazil to manage the upcoming projects developing stadium and media technology as well as further consulting projects.
With their strong presence in Brazil, the BTD founders Stefan Leibhard and Kersten Kroehl have decided to take a long term active engagement in South America and specifically Brazil beyond the World Cup 2014. Stefan Leibhard stated: "Brazil is a Soccer Nation and offers limitless potential for businessdevelopment around football. Therefore Brazil is an important country for BTD where it is essential to focus on planning beyond the upcoming events and to provide substantial legacy effects for after the WorldCup 2014 and the Olympic Games 2016. We are proud to contribute and look forward to the demanding projects ahead."
The BTD Group was founded in 1997 by partners Stefan Leibhard and Kersten Kroehl and started its business with BTD Telekommunikation GmbH, providing ICT business solutions to corporate clients. With the business areas of Newmedia (Online Services), Mobile Management, Managed IT- Services and Technology Consultancy for Stadia and Venues the companies BTD Newmedia, BTD Service, BTD System and BTD International Consulting AG (CH) followed. Today, with 110 employees, the BTD Group represents a provider for integrated IT and Online solutions. All business areas are completely self financed by its partners.
