dim2warm from Brumberg: dimmable brightness and colour temperature

(PresseBox) (Sundern, ) Path-breaking innovation from the Sauerland region: Brumberg, the professional lighting manufacturer from Sundern, has succeed in designing LED spots in such a way that both the brightness and the colour temperature can be dimmed. ‘What is simply not possible with conventional incandescent or halogen lamps turns out to be technically far superior with the LED. With dim2warm, we can now present a high quality, future-oriented solution for LED spots’, explains Johannes Brumberg, managing director and owner of the family business.

Cosy atmosphere at 2000 Kelvin

Previously with the LED only the brightness could be reduced – the light became indeed weaker but did not appear warmer. With dim2warm, the colour temperature now also changes in the lower dimming range: depending on the type of lamp installed, the temperature can be dimmed from warm white 2800 Kelvin or 3000 Kelvin to very warm white 2000 Kelvin. dim2warm thereby produces an extremely cosy atmosphere – similar to candlelight or the light from a fireplace.

High light quality with even distribution of colour

The high quality of light of dim2warm technology is making the innovation into a future-oriented solution. The colour rendering index (CRI) is at a very high level across the entire range of light intensity. An even colour distribution is ensured. Furthermore, the dimming curve is integrated into the LED chip, so that the dimming effect can be achieved easily using a dimmable constant current converter. The converters offered by Brumberg are perfectly adapted to the dim2warm technology.

Suitable for conventional dimmers

An additional plus of the latest product: dim2white is very versatile. Simple converters with a dimming interface suffice for achieving the desired effect of an incandescent bulb. A separate control is not necessary. dim2warm can be be easily integrated into existing systems and is thus superbly suited for new installations or retrofits. The current Brumberg converters with a dimming interface harmonise perfectly with the dim2warm lights. Thus, dim2warm can be operated both autonomously via compatible touch and turn interfaces as well as integrated into a building control system.
