Erich Ebner von Eschenbach wird Leiter des Bereichs Finanzdienstleistungen der BMW Group

Vorgänger Georg Bauer wechselt in den Ruhestand

Erich Ebner von Eschenbach (48) wird im Januar des nächsten Jahres die Leitung des Bereichs Finanzdienstleistungen der BMW Group übernehmen. Er folgt damit auf Georg Bauer (59), der diese Funktion seit September 2004 inne hat. Bauer wird mit Erreichen der Altersgrenze zum Ende des Jahres in den Ruhestand gehen.

Der studierte Diplom-Kaufmann Ebner von Eschenbach trat im Juli 2003 in die BMW Group ein und war zuletzt Bereichsleiter Konzernfinanzwesen. Zuvor war er acht Jahre lang für die Hypo Vereinsbank, unter anderem als Leiter Corporate Finance in New York, tätig. Seine Nachfolge wird Norbert Mayer (55) antreten, bisher zuständig für die Konzernfinanzierung der BMW Group.

Das bilanzielle Geschäftsvolumen des Segments Finanzdienstleistungen lag zum 31. März 2010 bei 62.419 Mio. Euro. Die Zahl der betreuten Leasing- und Finanzierungsverträge mit Händlern und Endkunden betrug zum selben Zeitpunkt 3.107.568.
