How do you get content of teaching across to someone in a most impressive way? Everyone of us will remember the experiments in physics class demonstrating principles much more vividly than theoretical explanations lasting for hours.

Measurement technology at your fingertips: BMC Messsysteme GmbH has developed the demo board ZU-DBD to be used for schooling and training. It is perfectly suitable to clearly impart basics of PC measurement and electrical engineering.

Various sensors and operating controls on the ZU-DBD serve for the presentation of physical quantities, such as temperature, light, or pressure, as well as for the generation of static and dynamic voltage signals.

The signal board has been optimized for the USB data acquisition systems USB-AD and USB-AD12f from bmcm. Therefore it is only available together with one of them.

The analog channels of the PC data acquisition system can be directly attached at a D-Sub 37 connector. Especially easy for the USB-AD: With the DAQ system being integrated in a D-Sub connector, it can be plugged directly.

The question of power supply has been solved best possible. The ZU-DBD is supplied by the USB interface with app. 5V via the connected DAQ system. An external power source as well as additional cabling is not required.

With regard to being used for schooling and training, a great value was set on easy operability, handy size, robust and cost-effective design.

An ideal supplement is the software for data acquisition and processing NextView®4 to visualize, record, and analyze the measuring signals produced by the ZU-DBD. A fully functional 30-day trial is included with the DAQ system.
