New BITZER software now available

With BITZER software 6.4.3, users can always find the right product and select new refrigerants with reduced global warming potential.

(PresseBox) (Sindelfingen, )
BITZER is the first compressor manufacturer in the world to fully test and document the refrigerants R448A, R449A, R450A and R513A. The four new refrigerants are approved for compressors such as those in the ECOLINE series.

With a relevant update to the BITZER software, users can now establish for themselves if the new refrigerants with low global warming potential (GWP) can be used for their existing or planned refrigeration systems and what effect they will have on the performance data of the compressors. In addition to the ECOLINE series, the semi-hermetic screw compressors of the HSK/HSN series with R448A (N-40) and R449A (XP40) can also be designed in the software.

Greater customer service in product selection
With this update, BITZER is improving the customer service and user-friendliness of its software. The main features of the new program include the rapid calculation of performance data and a virtually displayed refrigeration system where users can modify various components as they wish. Users can also set individual parameters by means of input fields and thus easily evaluate the desired operating conditions. The individual BITZER compressors can also be selected and displayed within the system with their respective performance data. This provides users with important technical information, calculation results and individually defined performance tables for the compressors, which they can then print out or save in PDF format.
The new software can be accessed via the BITZER website (www.bitzer-software.com) or is available for download (www.bitzer.de).

The F-gas regulation from the EU
As of January 1, 2015, the revised F-gas regulation applies across the entire European Union. It stipulates that the use of fluorinated greenhouse gases will be reduced by 79 percent by 2030. This involves a reduction of the average GWP value from around 2,300 at present to less than 500. To achieve this mandatory objective, BITZER already offers a number of product series which permit the use of new HFO/HFC mixes as well as natural refrigerants such as CO2, NH3 (ammonia) and hydrocarbons.
For more information about the new F-gas regulation, see BITZER publication A-510: https://www.bitzer.de/documentation/a-510-1.pdf
