BioTeSys bringt insbesondere ihre analytischen Kompetenzen zu Botanicals ein. Denkbar ist z. B. die Bestimmung des wirtschaftlichen Potenzials von pflanzlichen Abfällen zur Weiterverwertung innerhalb eines Recycling-Vorhaben oder die toxikologische Bewertung von Substanzen und Substanzgemi-schen.
Das Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Technologie (BMWi) initiierte das Netzwerk und fördert es bis Herbst 2017. Netzwerkmanager ist die EurA Consult AG in Ellwangen. Der Internetauftritt ist der-zeit noch im Aufbau und wird dann unter www.biooekonomie-netzwerk.de zu finden sein. Die Auftakt-veranstaltung findet am 12. März 2015 statt.
