BioTeSys receives ISO 9001:2000 certification

BioTeSys GmbH today announced the new DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 certification for the service portfolio consisting of analytical HPLC based services, cell based test systems
and clinical studies. Esslingen, Germany, November 14, 2008:

“The ISO certification is an important milestone for BioTeSys”, says Dr. Ju?rgen Bernhardt, CEO of BioTeSys GmbH. “I am sure it will further increase the confidence in our high quality service portfolio and our ability to support our customers in substantiation of scientific argumentation. And, we are committed to constantly improve our quality managementsystem.” Certification of conformity to ISO 9001:2000 for the analytical, in vitro- and in vivo-services was by the national certification body DEKRA on December 03, 2008. ISO 9001 certification has become the global benchmark for providing assurance about the ability to satisfy quality requirements and to enhance customer satisfaction in supplier-customer relationships.

BioTeSys GmbH (www.biotesys.de) is based in Esslingen and was founded in 1999
as a spin-off of the Institute of Biological Chemistry and Nutrition of the University
of Hohenheim. Biotesys is a partner in the development and implementation of new
concepts in the cosmetic, food and consumer health care/OTC sector. The range of ser-
vices includes screening methods for measuring the bioactive potential of substances
or substance mixtures, in-vitro test procedures using single cell cultures, co-cultures
