Radiometric Measurements from Berthold
The importance of accuracy and repeatability for non-contact measurements and the influence different sources of errors have on them
Radiometric measurements for industrial processes have been around for several decades and they are an important component in the successful performance of critical level, density and flow measurements. Nuclear measurement gauges work where conventional measuring technology fails. They offer outstanding measurement results under extreme conditions so that high temperatures, pressures and other difficult ambient and process conditions pose no problems. Typical measurement tasks are non-contact level and density measurements in various vessels, bunkers and piping systems, interface measurements in oil separators and moisture measurement. They can also be used as non-contact limit switches.
Berthold Technologies has published the Whitepaper "Radiometric Measurements – Accuracy, repeatability and errors“, wherein the radiometric measurements are explained and how your process can be performed with highest accuracy and reproducibility and the error sources can be minimized. The paper elaborates on how Berthold with its highly sophisticated radiometric measuring systems helps plant operators to maintain a reliable and repeatable measurement.

Information about Berthold Technologies at a glance
Berthold Technologies is an international leader in industrial process instrumentation. By focussing on technology, powerful and customer-oriented measuring systems and devices are developed and produced. The production of high-quality measuring systems for industry and research began more than 70 years ago in Bad Wildbad in the Black Forest. The main applications are, for example, in chemical, steel and power plants, refineries as well as in the paper, glass and food industries.
