“Prove what you can do by doing it“ – was the motto of Dietrich Christian Bender, son of the inventor of the ISOMETER® and company founder Walther Hans Bender, which guided him through the four decades of his management. In doing so, he created the conditions for a company that is still successfully growing and operating globally today.
In 1946, Walther Hans Bender founded an engineering office in Grünberg. The foundation of his company was the invention of the world’s first insulation monitoring device, for which he received the patent in 1942. Today, Bender is a fourth-generation family business that continues to develop innovative products and first-class services for the safe handling of electricity.
Subsidiaries in Europe, America, Africa, and Asia and almost 1,100 employees in more than 70 countries around the world work to monitor faults in the handling of electrical power and to detect them at an early stage so that undesirable failures do not occur.
The company continues to see this as its mission for the future, and to particularly offer intelligent solutions that enable people and machines around the globe to handle electricity safely. The anniversary also marks another value milestone: communication at eye level, mutual respect, and acting as a community are indispensable elements of the company’s set of values.
This also includes assuming social responsibility, which is part of the company’s DNA and reflects the thinking and actions of the company’s founder, who always had an open ear for the concerns and needs of others. Committed to this basic humanitarian attitude, Bender is supporting the children’s home and training center “SELAM” in Ethiopia on the occasion of the anniversary. The aim is to provide 20 young people with electrical engineering training leading to a vocational qualification. Bender is pleased about all those who want to support this project. Further information will follow.
