For over 20 years, Bechtle direct UK has been working successfully as an IT partner for companies and public-sector customers. The previous two years have seen revenues at the IT e-commerce subsidiary nearly double to around 70 million euros. With the opening of the office in a prosperous location in Manchester, Bechtle direct is strengthening its proximity to its customers in the north of the country, creating further scope for workforce and business growth.
Modern city centre location
The new branch office is conveniently located in the heart of the city and offers optimum working conditions. “The new offices at One Portland Street are equipped with an excellent infrastructure that fulfils all the technical and functional requirements of a modern IT workplace. These are the ideal conditions for an open and comfortable working atmosphere”, explains James Napp, Managing Director, Bechtle direct UK. The new office is just a few minutes' walk from Manchester’s Piccadilly Station and is therefore well connected to both the North of England and London.
Ten employees will make up the Manchester team to begin with, but the offices offer enough space for up to 36 employees and this capacity should be fully utilised within the next three years. “In Manchester we’ll be relying on the expertise and experience of both current and new employees”, says James Napp. In order to realise the target of over 110 million euros in sales, Bechtle direct UK is focussing on employing additional experts, but also in the vocational and further training of employees in the growth areas of hybrid IT, software and the modern workplace. “The goal is to build on our unique e-commerce capabilities by connecting our expertise with deployment of future-proof IT solutions. Thanks to our excellent relationships with vendor partners and customers, we can benefit from the UK’s great market opportunities.”
